Slovo (“word” in Proto-Slavic) is a scientific journal published annually by the University Press of Bucharest. It was established as a result of the participation of a growing number of undergraduate, master’s and doctoral students in conferences, as well as translation competitions and projects organized by the Department of Russian and Slavic Philology, Faculty of Foreign Languages and Literatures, University of Bucharest. Slovo provides a platform for young philologists (national and foreign) to publish their research and translations.
The first issue of the journal (2013) was published in print. After that, the editorial board decided to transform the journal into an open access electronic publication. It is freely available on the journal’s website and on the Bucharest University Press website.
Slovo has been indexed in the following international databases and repositories: CEEOL (Central and Eastern European Online Library) and WorldCat.
